What People are Saying about Montessori of Aurora
My daughter attends MSA and we could not be happier - neither could she!
I am an elementary school teacher and have visited and tried several other centers but weren't happy with the care. Montessori of Aurora gives my daughter a sense of care, community, trust, and a top-notch education. The teachers take a genuine interest in my child and are great about communicating with me as well.
My wife and I have a five-year-old girl and a three-year-old boy.
We did the ' daycare shuffle' for a few years, trying to find a facility that met our high expectations. We had our children in three different daycare facilities over that time period and visited several other ones prior to Montessori. We could not have been more pleased with Montessori. Our oldest child just finished the kindergarten program. This was her second year here and she has learned so much during this time. My three year old just completed the toddler room and will start the three to five-year-olds room next fall. One issue I have with the majority of daycare facilities is that of the 'teachers' are just collecting a paycheck, and view their very important positions as just a job. All of the teachers at Montessori are very professional and have been trained in the Montessori method. You can tell that it is more than a 'job' for them. The administrators are very helpful and effective. They also communicate and collaborate well with their parents. My children love their school, teachers, and friends. I would highly recommend this school for your child.
My grandson went to MSA for about 3 years and just this year advanced to the first grade.
I am extremely satisfied with the level of instruction he received at this school. They have a much-diversified curriculum and I was quite impressed with how much he learned on a daily basis. They made learning fun for him and he was always anxious to continue at home. He really enjoyed reading and his comprehension was amazing. It made my job much easier when I reinforced what he learned in school at home. I also like that they were a culturally aware school and taught him to respect others that may think differently than him. He made a lot of friends in the school and really missed his teachers when he left. Now that he is attending the first grade, I really see the advantage he has in his level of education. His attention to detail, penmanship, math skills, reading comprehension are just some of the things I have noticed he was advanced in. As a parent, I was always concerned about the decisions I made for him. With so many different schools out there you really want to know you've made the correct choice. I have never regretted my decision in having him attend MSA.
I have three children that attended this school.
My youngest daughter is 5 years old and is now reading and is progressing nicely in all areas including math, language, and cultural studies. She is excited about learning and can sing a song about the 7 continents, the layers of the earth, and the planets in our solar system. My older son and daughter are both accepted into the Challenge School (for gifted students) due in large part to the education they received and the caring teachers at Montessori School of Aurora. (Challenge School is for advanced children and they turn away many children every year.) I was surprised at some of the negative reviews as the owner of the school has always been kind, helpful, and professional with us. Perhaps it's a competitor or disgruntled ex-employee as I noticed some of the reviews were posted in the same week, so probably by the same person. The teachers here are top-notch! If you care about your child's education, this school is the best!
My daughter has been in this school since October 2010.
We have had a very pleasant experience. My daughter has progressed impressively. We haven't had any problems with any of the staff - they are all professional, caring, and concerned for the growth of the children. They are all more than happy and willing to answer the question, and will do what they can to care of any concerns that arise.
Great Montessori School!!
Get involved with your children at this school. Friendly staff and knowledgable in Montessori methods. Pay attention! Ask questions! Learn! Experience! You owe it to your children.
Our daughter attended MSA for 4 years.
She is a graduate of the full-day Kindergarten program and is now on her way to 1st grade at an International Charter School. The educational and social foundation that she has attained with this Montessori school would not have been possible in a conventional early childhood program. Completing the Montessori program through Kindergarten helped our daughter to grow as a strong self-confident leader, a good decision-maker, and culturally aware and respectful. The Montessori materials and lessons are challenging and intuitively teach math, geometry, and language fundamentals in a fun and unique way. She now reads and comprehends at a 3rd-grade level and is advanced in her vocabulary and science skills. The consistent daily school attendance helped her to feel emotionally secure and build a solid academic foundation that she needs to be a success in the future.
MSA has a culturally rich and diverse population that exemplifies the global world we are living in today. The Cultural Dinner night at the school is a yearly event that our family always looks forward to. (The food is fabulous!) Additionally, MSA is a venue for the Parenting with Love and Logic courses. These classes helped to provide us with invaluable parenting techniques and skills to add to our new parenting toolbox.
My family will always hold a deep debt of gratitude to the top-notch personal attention and care that was provided to our daughter by the school's owners and teachers at MSA. It takes a village to raise children and MSA definitely helped us on the right path to raising a fantastic student and human being.
3 Positive Years with Montessori School of Aurora
My daughter recently graduated from kindergarten at MSA. She spent 3 yrs there, learning & growing. I looked at several other schools in the area, including other Montessori programs before choosing MSA. It was this school that provided not only the Montessori learning experience but also a supportive, nurturing environment for my little girl. MSA gave her a strong foundation in learning & a safe, positive place for her to be a kid. The teachers & staff are extremely caring about each child, working with you as a parent with whatever your child's individual needs may be.
A Shout Out for MSA
Both of my children attend MSA over a combined duration of 6 years. Our experience was EXCELLENT!!! MSA thought them independence, self-confidence, and respect for others. The teachers were incredibly caring and provided a stimulating child-oriented learning environment. Currently, they attend a private school that is heavily academic-focused. With the excellent preparation from MSA, they have performed exceptionally well, in such that teachers from their school have visited MSA to enquire about its program, giving that all of the kids that came from MSA are outstanding. I can unequivocally state that MSA and our involvement as parents laid the foundation for great success. STRONGLY RECOMMEND MSA!!!
Montessori of Aurora is AMAZING
Our family has had the pleasure of being part of the Montessori of Aurora family since July 2007. We enrolled our twin boys in the Toddler Program at MSA when they were 2 years old; they are now proud Kindergarteners who will graduate this May. It was because of the fact that Montessori of Aurora went well above and beyond our expectations for a preschool experience, we didn't hesitate to enroll our 3-year-old in their Preschool program last year. We can't even begin to put a value on the quality education and life lessons our boys are learning thanks to the dedicated, loving, compassionate staff at MSA. It is immeasurable. Having seen our oldest boys complete the 3-year work cycle, we cannot recommend this school strongly enough.
MSA is a great school
Our experience with MSA over the past 5 years has been great. Both of our children started in the Toddler program and completed the Kindergarten program. For our kids, we believed the Kindergarten program at MSA was better than the Cherry Creek School District program that is why we choose to keep them there. Our kids learning styles and personalities are different and both have been very successful at MSA. This is a school and not a daycare, it is clean, safe and real learning takes place here. The teachers work with the kids at their individual academic level. Educating our kids is teamwork between MSA and the US; we are involved parents, we do our part by helping with homework, reading, arriving at school on time, attending school events/field trips, and most importantly parent/teacher conferences. The owners, teachers, and staff have been GREAT in helping us prepare our kids for their educational success. We like them so much our youngest, will also attend when she is old enough.
Parent by Proud Mommy
Both of my children did Kindergarten and Pre-school at the Montessori School of Aurora. They learned a wide scope of information to prepare them for elementary school. As a parent, I was involved with their education so I knew at what level they were learning every year. I attended conferences 2x a year and was also very involved by volunteering. I did not depend on the school to raise my children. The school was clean and all the staff was committed to teaching. I am proud to say that my children are graduates of MSA. If I was not pleased with the environment or staff, I definitely would not have kept them at the school. My family was at MSA for 6 consecutive academic years. My children were definitely prepared for first grade and beyond, as well as many other Kindergarten children that have left the program.
Both my son and Daughter attended multiple years of preschool and kindergarten at MSA.
The teachers were top-notch, caring individuals. Both kids came out ahead of their peers in math, reading, and science. I especially liked the hands-on approach (using manipulative objects) to learning during these formidable years. I highly recommend this school!
My granddaughter attended Montessori School of Aurora and she learned to read there.
It is an excellent school that teaches a full curriculum of Language, Math, Science, Cultural Studies, etc. The teachers are very caring and always there to listen to any concerns. I think the negative reviews may be confusing the Montessori School of Aurora (on Smoky Hill Road) with a different Montessori school in Aurora.
This School has provided my children the very best foundation we could have ever hoped for.
I have benefited greatly from the expertise of both the owner and the individual teachers who guided me and my boys through the ups and downs of early education. My children spent three and four years getting the best education I could have hoped for. My only concern is that it left very high standards for all of their future education. I, would, and have strongly recommended this school to anyone wanting the very best in early childhood education.
Our 2 daughters went here for a combined 5 years and did very well.
They learned things that I know are not taught in regular pre-k and k programs. I would recommend MSA to anyone for their children.

After much searching and investigating we placed our daughter into Montessori of Aurora at the age of 2 1/5.
For the next 3 years, we drove 15 miles a day, passing many other schools that she could have gone to, and have never had any regrets. She received a very thorough and loving education and care the entire time that she was at the school. She developed into a very well rounded person that has the confidence to assume any task she sets her mind to. After many long talks with the staff at MSA we applied for admittance into Quest K-8 in Aurora Colorado which is now the top-rated school in the state and she was accepted. After1 1/2 months she was tested and is reading at an advanced 2nd-grade level and has very strong basics in all other classes. Thanks to MSA she has a very bright future.
Our experience with MSA over the last 4 years has been great.
Both of our kids started in the toddler program and our son completed the Kindergarten program last year and our oldest daughter is currently enrolled in the Kindergarten program. It is important to us as PARENTS to take an active role in our children s education and social being and we do this by helping with homework, reading, attending the parent/teacher conferences, making sure our kids arrived at school on time, going on field trips and attending classroom programs/parties and building a relationship with their teachers. All of these things are important to us and the MSA team. Our kids learning styles and personalities are different and both have been very successful in the MSA program. MSA is a school and not a daycare. We have and will continue to recommend MSA. The owners, teachers, and staff are FANTASTIC.
My two children attended Montessori of Aurora for preschool, kindergarten, and Summers.
I chose this school and stayed with this school because of the individualized and personal approach to teaching. The other centers I toured all seemed to teach in a rote, prescribed way. ('This week we're learning about the letter F and the color red.') My kids, like all kids, needed support and instruction according to their specific abilities and needs. The staff genuinely care about the children and their families. My kids were able to learn at their own pace with good support and excelled as a result. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this school to anyone.
Our son attended MSA and loved it!
We were amazed one night to hear him singing a song naming the seven continents, and he is reading at a higher level than we ever expected at his age. In addition to academics, it is also important to us that the teachers are loving and greet our child warmly when he comes in the door. We could not have been happier with this school!
